Right on the money
Most of the comments you made I thought of myself one time or another whilst playing the game. Quite a lot of the game was completely nonsensical.
I especially liked the fact you show Vaan jumping off the edge, so many times I wanted him to die. Why the hell was he even fighting anyway?

I don't whether the below reviewers are actually taken into account that this flash was made in 2002 when they say the animation is crap, but I know in comparison to what what was around at the time, this more than stands its ground.
Good flash, I loved the preloader as well. Made me smile, which is more that what can be said about other flashes of this era, regardless of graphics.

I will give you credit, it's a sprite movie that's got a bit more substance to it than normal ones (that just consist of a fight and one background).
However it definitely could be improved, and I'm undecided whether it should be as highly regarded as it is.

I wouldn't really call this 'highly regarded,' it's a lot more popular than I figured it would be but that always seems to be the case so I'm not too surprised at its popularity.
